Each section is nested inside of the other and has a friction stop marker to prevent overdraw. We fit each section with a "Sure Lock Grip" which tightens down on the section above to keep the pole at the desired height, and allows for variable heights without the use of holes and pins. The precision engineering of the Wonder Pole allows for effortless, quick extension and retraction of the sections. No assembly is required and there are no tools needed to use the pole. Q. Why is the Wonder Pole® the best telescoping pole to buy, and how is it made? The Wonder Pole® is a composite material. We use a minimum fiberglass content of 70% which is then circular wound with additional fiberglass strands, using a trade secret method that adds tremendous strength, (excess of 75,000 psi) and prevents linear splitting commonly associated with other fiberglass poles. UV inhibitors are added to prevent degradation of the pole when exposed to the elements. Each section of the pole is wrapped with two layers of the highest quality Nexus® veil which prevents fiber bloom (slivers in your hand), and preserves the integrity of the outer and inner surface of the Wonder Pole®. The pole has nesting sections that fit inside of each other, and draw out to any desired height. Each section has our exclusive "stop markers" to prevent extending the pole too far. The sections are secured into place by turning the "Sure Lock" grips that are factory molded onto the pole. We do not use glue or rivets, which come loose, to keep the handles or fittings on the pole. The Wonder Pole® is non conductive, and does not have any of the electrical hazards commonly associated with metal poles. You can replace any part of the pole or add to the Wonder Pole® at any time. Add to this the low weight, superior strength, available accessories, styles, models, and colors available, and you have the best telescopic pole in the world today. Q. Is the Wonder Pole® guaranteed? Every Wonder Pole® is guaranteed. Most other companies do not post a guarantee, or use a limited warranty instead. They only cover manufacturers defects. We will simply take the pole back if you are not happy with it. If it fails in the first year, we will replace the pole. We ask that you read about the pole, and choose the Wonder Pole® that's right for you. Q. What is the size of the pole at the top, and the bottom? The Wonder Pole® 315 (retracted size 70" to 15' fully extended overall length), and the Wonder Pole® 321 (retracted size 96" to 23' fully extended overall length) have a base section which measures 1 ¼" outside diameter, with a 1x mid section, and a ¾" top mast. The sections nest inside of each other and have a wall thickness of 1/8". The Wonder Pole®418 (retracted size 72" to 19.5' fully extended overall length) residential flagpole consists of 4 nesting sections. The base section is 1 ¾" outside diameter, the second section is 1 ½" outside diameter, the third section measures 1 ¼",, and the topmast section is 1x in outside dimensions. The sections are nesting, with 1/8" wall thickness, white fiberglass, with ground sleeve, and solid brass acorn ornament. The Wonder Pole®621 (retracted size 59" to 21' fully extended overall length) consists of 6 nesting sections. The base section is 2" outside diameter, the second section is 1 3/4x outside diameter, the third section measures 1 1/2", the forth section is 1 ¼', section 5 is 1", and the topmast section is 3/4" in outside dimensions. The sections are nesting, with 1/8" wall thickness, white fiberglass, with ground sleeve. The Wonder Pole®P48 Residential flagpole fits on the side of home or office. (Retracted size 48x to 7x fully extended overall length) consists of 2 nesting sections. The base section is 1x outside diameter, and the topmast section is 3/4" in outside dimensions. The sections are nesting, with 1/8x wall thickness, white fiberglass, with two-position bracket, rotational flag attachments, and a solid brass acorn. Q. How do I know which Wonder Pole® to buy? This question is answered best by asking a question, how do you intend to use the pole? If you want a pole to use at home for flag flying than the Patriot Flagpole wp418 is best. For sports fans, tailgating, and other outdoor events, choose one of the Wonder Poles® wp315, wp321, or the wp621. If you plan on using the pole at home, and on the road the versatile Wonder Pole® 621 is a great choice. Compact for travel, great height at the game, and you can show your colors when at home by using the ground sleeve supplied with the pole. If your need is for a side mounted model choose the Wonder Pole® P48. You can get this pole by itself or in combination with our U.S. flags. The "Storm Tough® American Flag is our best and longest wearing United States flag. Q. How do I attach flags, and banners, etc. to the Wonder Pole®? Flags & banners with grommets (holes in the header with metal rings) can be attached by using our non-wrapping flag attachments, nylon zip ties, and collar flag attachments supplied with many models we sell. If you have a pole sleeve banner of flag simply slide the flag over the top section, and use one of our "Hold It" snap clamps to secure in place. Q. How many flags can I put on my Wonder Pole®? Each pole has the ability to fly several flags at one time. Please refer to the product page for the correct amount and size. In some cases the type of flag attachment you use may limit the size or number that can be put on each section. If you are using nylon zip ties the number of flags flown can be increased. Because of the Wonder Poles® superior strength it not uncommon to see tailgaters, and NASCAR fans flying 2, 3, and up to 5 flags, and/or windsocks on one pole. Consider flag size, and material, and don't forget the wind conditions when mounting multiple flags. In other words, you are the final judge when loading the pole. Just use common sense, show your colors, and have fun! Q. How much does the Wonder Pole® weigh? Most of the Wonder Poles® are under 8 pounds, with the wp418 residential in ground pole weighing 10 pounds. The Wonder Pole® wp315 is only 5 pounds! Q. Does the pole bend a lot in the wind? All poles flex to some degree, some less than others. Depending which model Wonder Pole® you choose that will vary. The wp315, wp418, and wp621 do not have a great deal of flex, and in fact the small amount of movement at the top acts like a shock absorber extending the life of flags & banners by reducing the snapping effect in high winds. The wp321 has a greater degree of sway because of its height and 3 longer sections. It makes it a good pole for advertising and or outdoor display. The graceful movement of this pole adds action to the display of flags & banners. The amount of flags, their weight, and wind conditions all play a part in the sway factor of poles. With the many different models to choose from you are sure to find the right pole for you. Q. How do I put the Wonder Pole® in the ground? Every Wonder Pole® comes with a sleeve for in ground installation. The sleeve is put in place using readily available sack cement, allowing the pole to be removed for storage or display at another location. For portable use, our optional 30x hardwood stake is driven in to the ground, and upon extending the pole; you just slip it over the stake. For larger diameter base sections as with the wp621 a larger stake may be used. The Wonder Pole® can also be secured to fences, fence posts, existing tent poles, buildings, on roofs, and to any other structure or device with a sufficient foundation. The 24x sleeve supplied with the Wonder Pole® should be positioned at the base or where the attachment device is used to eliminate any break point (the area of contact and or pressure concentrated in one area). Complete instructions come with every Wonder Pole®. You can use our Wheel Stand 24x Pro to take on the road or to the game. Simply extend your pole, slip it into the Gator Shield® riser, and your all set. Unlike other stands the 24x steel plate keeps the pole a safe distance away from any vehicle. Q. Can I have a custom size or color Wonder Pole made®?
